Q: What is the venue’s COVID policy?

A:  Covid requirements are now at the discretion of the touring artists, so we highly recommend going to our calendar and checking the event page for the specific show you are looking to attend. If there are covid restrictions in place for that event the information will be listed in the “Event Details” section below the ticketing information

 

Q: How can I purchase tickets for Crescent Ballroom shows?

A: There are two ways to purchase tickets for shows at Crescent Ballroom:

  1. Purchase directly from our website/See Tickets page at crescentphx.com/calendar
  2. At the door if the show is not sold out

Q: What time does ticketing start at Crescent Ballroom?

A: Ticketing usually starts one hour prior to doors opening. Door times are available on the Crescent Ballroom website. We always recommend confirming door and show times.

Q: What time should I arrive for the show?

A: As soon as possible! There are two times listed on your ticket. The first time is when the doors will open and the second is when the opening artist will go on. Set times (when the respective artists take the stage) vary and typically are not announced until the day of the show. Please keep in mind that set times, as well as opening acts, are always subject to change. We strongly suggest checking the website for the most up to date times possible.

CASH, CHECK, OR CARD?

Q: What type of payment does Crescent Ballroom accept?

A: The box office and bar accepts CASH, VISA, Master Card and American Express. The Merchandise counter typically only accepts CASH.

DRINKING, AGE, AND ID RESTRICTIONS

Q: How old do you have to be to attend shows at Crescent Ballroom or Cocina 10?

A: Crescent Ballroom is a 21+ venue, unless the underage guest is accompanied by a legal guardian. Some shows will be 16+ or 18+, but they will be indicated as such upon purchase. Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to attend shows at Crescent Ballroom.  Cocina 10 welcomes all ages until 9pm, upon which we are a 21+ venue and anyone under the age of 21 will be required to leave.

Q: Do I need ID to enter the venue?

A: We strongly recommend that you bring your ID. Crescent Ballroom is a venue that serves alcohol and it is very important for us to verify that guests who plan on drinking are of legal drinking age. In compliance with Arizona State Law, anyone 21 and older who plans on drinking alcohol will have to show a valid, non-expired, government issued photo ID; regardless of how old you look!

Anyone without proper ID, regardless of age, may be treated as an underage guest and not allowed to buy, hold, or drink alcohol. This policy is strictly enforced and any violation will result in immediate removal from the venue.

Effective July 24, 2014, Arizona liquor laws changed regarding acceptable forms of identification to access alcohol. You are required to obtain a new ID within 30 days of your 21st birthday. After 30 days, your vertical ID will not be valid for alcohol purchase or entry into the 21+ areas of Valley Bar.

Q: Do you allow in-and-out (re-entry) privileges?

A: Patrons over the age of 21, may leave the venue and come back. Concert patrons under the age of 21 are not allowed re-entry – once you’re in, you aren’t allowed in and out privileges, not even to go to your car. We can’t allow you to do it, so please don’t ask us to let you!

Q: Do you allow outside food or beverage?

A: NO, and you will be asked to it throw it away prior to entry.

PLANES, TRAINS, AND AUTOMOBILES

Q: Where is Crescent Ballroom / Cocina 10 located?

A: 308 N 2nd Ave, Phoenix AZ 85003. North of Sun Devil Auto on the Northwest corners of Van Buren and 2nd Ave.

Q: Is there a light rail station nearby?

A: There is! Right around the corner on Van Buren and 1st Ave for Eastbound trains and Van Buren and Central for Westbound trains. Cabs are also in a good habit of visiting us, particularly on the weekends!

IQ: Is there parking?

A: While Crescent Ballroom does not have designated parking, there are a few options surrounding the venue. There is limited meter parking in front of the venue along 2nd Avenue, and there are private, paid parking lots on 3rd Ave., just North of Van Buren.

We do not offer validation for parking in the surrounding garages, and the parking structure nearest to us across 2nd Avenue closes at 6pm.

VENUE INFORMATION

Q: Is there seating at Crescent Ballroom?

A: Unless otherwise indicated, shows at Crescent Ballroom are standing room only. We do offer limited bleacher style seating at the back of the venue, but those fill quickly once doors open and are available on a first come, first served basis. On occasion, we have seated shows where you may buy a specific seat at the venue, but that is indicated upon purchase on a show by show basis. Patrons with special needs should call in advance to make arrangements.

Q: How exactly does the underage section work?

A: Due to Arizona State Law, our all-ages shows must include a barrier between our underage guests and those who are 21+ (who have access to alcohol). Incidentally, this is why our underage guests are some times directed to use the back entrance of the Ballroom (only open to underage guests on show nights) after receiving their wristband; rather than pass through the front Lounge. Underage guests must form a line outside the venue until doors open. There is no re-entry for underage guests.

Q: I heard I can come into the lounge and eat and drink, does that mean I can go into the ballroom while a show is going on as well?

A: The lounge is always open and free to the public as long as we are within capacity requirements. We encourage you to hang out for shows in the lounge, but if you have not purchased a ticket to the show, you may not go into the ballroom.

Q: I think I left my card at Crescent last night. How can I check if it is still there?

A: All leftover cards with open tabs will be closed at the end of the night and a 20% service gratuity will be added. These cards are left in the Cocina 10 Lounge for 2 weeks and then destroyed. 

Q: Do you have a dress code?

A: Smart footwear is strongly encouraged as this is a music venue with many moving parts, otherwise, come as you may!

Q: Do you allow large bags or backpacks in the Ballroom?

A: No, we do not. We do not offer storage for items and all handbags will be searched.

Q: What is the capacity at Crescent Ballroom?

A: We can comfortably accommodate roughly 500 guests in the ballroom.

Q: Is Crescent Ballroom handicapped accessible?

A: Yes, we are handicapped accessible. Notify a member of Security upon arrival if you require early entry or seating assistance.

Q: Do you have a lost and found?

A: Yes, we do. If you lose your wallet or phone, it will be left in the Security stand. All other physical items will be held in the office for 2 weeks, then it will be donated.

Q: Can I smoke in the club?

A: No. Arizona has an indoor smoking ban, however the lounge patio has ashtrays for smoking. The north patio is smoke free until 9pm.

Q: Are firearms allowed in the venue?

A: No. Firearms are never allowed in Crescent Ballroom. Pursuant to A.R.S. § 4-229

FEED ME

Q: Does Crescent Ballroom offer food?

A: Yes, our restaurant, Cocina 10, offers a playful Mexican menu including burritos, nachos, street tacos, salads and one of the best burgers you’ve ever tasted! The kitchen is open from Wednesday-Thursday 4-late, Friday-Saturday 4pm-2am, and Sunday 4 -late. 

Q: Is your kitchen’s menu vegetarian/vegan friendly?

A: As a matter of fact, yes! We have several meatless options, along with a good number of gluten-free and/or dairy-free choices. Of course, when possible we are happy alter your dish to accommodate any food allergies/preferences provided you carefully disclose this information prior to placing your order with your server.

Q: How about drinks?

A: We offer a full service bar and table service in our lounge, Cocina 10, as well as a full service bar in the Ballroom for full shows with a limited food menu available. Both bars offer a non-alcoholic and gluten free beer option.

Q: Does Crescent Ballroom take reservations?

A: Reservation requests can be made by calling us directly at 602-716-2222 or via email at scottie@crescentphx.com. Please note: reservations must be made in advance – same day requests cannot be accommodated. 

Q: Do you offer bar/food specials?

A: We do! Happy Hour is available Monday 11am-6pm and Tuesday-Thursday 3-6pm, we offer discounts on select drinks and food. Please click here to view our happy hour menu.

Q: Do you offer gift cards?

A: Indeed we do and they can be purchased at Cocina 10, Monday through Friday from 11am to 5pm. Gift cards are not valid for show ticket purchase.

GENERAL SHOW INFORMATION

Q: My band is super awesome and would love to learn more about playing at Crescent Ballroom, who can we speak with?

A: We are always looking for bands to fill our line-up. Please remember to include contact info and a link to your music and let us know of any upcoming shows we can check you out at! We have acoustic style lounge shows, intimate and smaller ballroom shows and full sized shows in the ballroom – so a little bit for everyone! Click here to email us your info.

Q: If the website reads SOLD OUT, is it really sold out?

A: Yes, it really is – and it is highly unlikely that additional tickets will be released at the door. When a show sells out the Lounge / Patios remain open to the public though so you’re still welcome to come on down.

PHOTO AND MEDIA RULES

Q: What are your policies regarding photo, video, and audio?

A: Recording policies are at the bands discretion and change night to night, but our house policy is no professional equipment allowed unless authorized by the band or tour, within the first 3 songs and no flash. You may bring your camera with the understanding that you might need to take it back to your car.
Video and audio recording are not allowed.

Q: How do I get a photo or media pass?

A: All requests for media/photo passes must go through the artist/band’s publicist or label directly. Crescent Ballroom cannot offer media/photo passes. Only media/photo passes that have been submitted by the band will be honored.

EVENT INFORMATION

Q: Do you rent out the Ballroom for events?

A: Crescent Ballroom’s primary focus is to bring great local and national musicians to the people of Phoenix and surrounding areas, but we do open our doors to all sorts of events. We have charitable organizations, political gatherings, hosted burlesque shows, fashion shows, corporate meetings, birthdays, awards ceremonies and more!
